Pimento Cheese

Pimento cheese is a Southern cheese spread that’s easy to make and perfect for picnics, pitch ins, and really any gathering! Made with shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, pimentos, and spices this spread packs a punch of flavors and can be served with crackers, veggies, or anything you’d like to put cheese on!

Tips:

  • Can I make the pimento cheese ahead of time? Yes! This cheese spread is the perfect make ahead of time food. After you make it store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. I love making this cheese spread the day before I am going to serve it because the flavors meld together better, making it even more delicious!

  • What can I serve pimento cheese with? Anything! Your favorite crackers, cucumbers, carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, peppers, pickles, pickled veggies, smoked meats, really anything you’d like!


Pimento Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 - 4 ounce can pimentos, drained

  • 1 - 8 ounce package shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp jalapeños, seeded and diced

  • 1 tsp onion salt, I like Trader Joe’s

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/8 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Add more pepper and salt to taste, if needed. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve
