Pulled Pork Sliders
Easy, extra saucy, pulled pork sliders - the meal that saves you time and makes you look like a rock star!! Your trusty ole crock pot will do all the major work and there’s a secret ingredient that makes this pork extra tender…okay, I’ll spill, it’s cola!! That’s right, just like your Grandma’s pulled pork (maybe)! So saucy and delicious. I’ll be honest though, I usually buy one can just for this recipe, as I’m not a big cola drinker, but it’s worth the trip. I’m not sure what exactly is in the cola to bring such flavor (and I’m sure I don’t want to know) but give it a try!
ingredients
Pulled Pork:
2.3 to 2.5 lb pork shoulder
1 can of cola
1 cup of bbq sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 package of Hawaiian rolls
pickle slices
instructions:
Place pork shoulder in a crock pot, sprinkle all seasonings over the pork
Stir together the cola and bbq sauce, pour over the top of pork. Place the lid on top, set crock pot on low and cook for about 4 to 4 1/2 hours, or until for tender and 195 degrees
Remove pork from crock pot, shred, and add back into the crock pot. Mix together with the sauce. Grab your rolls, pile on the pulled pork, drizzle some extra sauce, and top with pickle slices
