Tiktok’s Viral Italian Grinder Sandwich
In all honesty, I don’t know why it took me so long to make this Tiktok viral sandwich! It has everything I love in a sandwich - Italian meats, red wine vinegar, shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, seasonings, etc. There is no exact recipe from the original Tiktok video, it’s all measured with the heart, so I just tasted everything as I went and to be real, I’d suggest you do the same. Don’t set limits on yourself with this one, make it your own and see what magic happens! Here I will detail out everything that I did so that you have a guide, but again the measurements are up to you. If you want to see a visual, click on the TikTok video I created and linked in the column.
What I used:
Deli Meats: Ham, turkey, salami, pepperoni, and prosciutto
Cheese: Sliced provolone or mozzarella. Also lots of fresh grated parmesan
Salad / Dressing Mix: Mayo, red wine vinegar, crushed garlic, sliced red onions, sliced pepperoncini peppers, dried oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, fresh ground black pepper, and shredded iceberg lettuce
Sliced Tomatoes: Dress the tomatoes with salt, pepper, and olive oil before adding to the sandwich
Bread: I used an Italian loaf, but I think anything goes

Instructions
Slice Italian bread loaf horizontally in the middle. Layer cheeses and meats evenly on both sides - I added turkey, prosciutto on one side and ham, salami, pepperonis on the other. Place in a preheated oven at 400 degrees until cheese is melted and meat is crisp on top, about 5 to 10 minutes
Slice tomatoes and add salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil on top
In a bowl mix mayo, red wine vinegar, garlic, red onions, pepperoncini peppers, dried oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, and fresh ground pepper together. Mix well. Toss in shredded lettuce until fully coated with mayo mixture
On one side of the sandwich layer tomatoes, salad mixture, and more freshly grated parmesan. Fold the sandwich together and enjoy
These deviled eggs have the element of surprise by kickin’ it up a notch and frying them. The crispy fried exterior on the hard boiled egg goes so well with the creamy filling and bacon & chive topping!
