Greece
What is the last place you travelled to or your most favorite vacations?
I’m more of a beach girl always have been. Sitting on the beach or pool side with a strawberry daiquiri or pina colada in hand is my type of vacation! I’ve always been content just relaxing on vacation with no set every day plans. To me vacation is stepping back from the day to day busy life and letting yourself relax.
So last year when my sister and I planned a trip to Greece it was a whole new experience! Greece has a lot of hype as a travel destination, and let me tell you most of it is true! The beaches, warm weather, but also the culture, the food, the history, and the friendly Greeks. It’s a whole package. The Food, Of Course was the most important! My sister and I even had a specific tour designated to sampling traditional Greek food with a local! Like I could go to Greece and not write about the incredible food I found there! 🤪 I don’t think I had a single bad meal during the time I spent in the country. My meals were all about the freshest Greek salads with enormous slabs of feta cheese on top: so good that I doubt I’ll ever eat a Greek salad outside of Greece again! It was all about the fresh bread and virgin olive oil. The tastiest olives I’ve ever tried. The rich moussakas. The chicken souvlakis. The grilled octopus. It was ordering 5 different appetizers just to try and that being perfectly acceptable. Practically everything I ate in Greece was the best version I’ve ever tasted of that dish, and it had the country shooting up into my top five places around the world in which to eat.
